Lockdown & Cards

Chelsea and I met when I moved into a nine-person diggs right as the world shut down. I had to move out of my apartment in April of 2020. I viewed this house in Vredehoek briefly and met 2 of the 9 people living there. Before I could decide if these were people I actually wanted to live with, the government warning was sent and the next thing I knew we were locked down.

We were all from completely different walks of life, all different ages and with unique interests but we found one thing that united us: sitting around a table playing Sh*thead for hours.

We spent most of lockdown arguing about the rules of SH*THEAD, watching sunsets on the roof, and making homemade bread and booch.

The Diggs

There was a clear divide in the house: The Veterans vs. The Newbies.

The newer Sh*thead players were forced to watch at least 10 rounds before they were even allowed to hold cards. (This was me). I, like many others forgot the rules over and over again. Eventually, everyone got so tired of explaining the rules so we painted a massive chalkboard wall in the lounge with the Sh*thead rules written in big, bold letters.

Chelsea and I frothed over this game. It kept us sane. Chelsea's famous line was "Just one more game, Kirst?"

One Message Changed Everything

We bonded over a deep desire to "Do Cool Sh*t" and spread more love.

A few voice notes exchanges later, we had found a designer and started planning. One month later, we had the printed cards ready to be sold.

And that leads us to here.

Our cards are created with a whole lot of love & a sprinkle of humour to spread more joy.
